For any AAVIP members, the thread I linked below has all the details on the decommitment.
I know Louisville fans are shocked by Quentin Sniderll give you a little background on the deal.
unfortunately i cannot read all that. we played vs him in april. he is outstanding. can someone un-vip a summary of what happened?
JChitwood - CV2R just posted this in a VIP post, but this Zagsblog article does a nice job covering the highlights of what's in the VIP stuff

this is a huge get for whoever lands him. we hung with most every team in most games I have ever coached, but they destroyed us this April and Snider can really play. he can get up and down the floor and can score it too. most teams will have a very hard time staying in front of him, and because he can shoot it he will score it if the defense lays off. if he gets in the lane and the defense over commits he will create opportunities for his teammates.
this is big news...outstanding prospect

Q is a very heady player. Lacks the athleticism of the top 20 caliber kids but is every bit as good. I know Indiana and Tom Cream are also very interested.Ohio St. Could be intriguing as he could team up with his pal Dangelo Russel. Don't know how involved Richard was with Q in his recruitment while at Louisville but I know there is a relationship there.
Would love to see Q wind up in Minny. Rooting for you guys in this battle.
Thanks for the info, update and insight jffrythmpsn...
Quotes from attached article:
Scott Snider said he was surprised to hear from Richard Pitino, given that Quentin had just one day earlier withdrawn his nearly 2-year-old pledge to Rick.
But Richard Pitino’s relationship with the Sniders is as old as Rick’s, and he’s highly familiar with Quentin as a person and a player.
“Him and Quentin have had a relationship since Quentin was a little kid because Quentin was around U of L so much,” Scott Snider said. “… It kind of surprised me he called, but at the same time it didn’t surprise me because I know he likes Quentin and he’s known him for a long time.”
I've read some things that Q is more of an offensive player than a defensive player, but that being said, I wouldn't turn him down.
